We built the finance tool we wanted for our own brand.

Metreks started inside an online business, not a pitch deck.

We run our own Shopify brand. Like most founders, we had a profit dashboard that said one thing, a bank balance that said another, and accounting software that was always months behind, waiting on a review queue nobody had time to clear.

The tools all had the same blind spot. Accounting software was built for bookkeepers, not founders. Profit apps were fast but estimated. Nothing kept real books from the places money actually moves (Shopify, payouts, cards, the bank) and kept them right without someone doing it by hand.

So we're building Metreks: the AI-powered accounting and financial operating system for online businesses. Real double-entry books, built automatically, reconciled to the penny, and explained in plain words. Our own brand is the first business running on it.

What we believe

  • Automation should do the work, not hand you a queue.
  • A number you can't trace to the bank isn't a number you can trust.
  • Never guess silently. If we're not sure, we ask.
  • Founders deserve accounting depth without becoming accountants.
