Your financial data, treated like money.

Metreks is built so that the safest thing is the default: read-only access, encryption everywhere, and each company walled off from every other.

  • Read-only access

    Metreks can see transactions and balances. It can never move money, in your bank or your store.

  • Encrypted everywhere

    All connections use TLS. Data is encrypted at rest, and bank access tokens get an extra layer of encryption before they're stored.

  • 2-step sign-in

    Authenticator-app verification, required before anyone can connect a bank.

  • Company isolation

    Every row of data belongs to one company, and the database itself enforces that nobody sees another company's books.

  • Books that can't be quietly changed

    Every entry must balance and closed months are locked, enforced by the database, with an audit trail of every change.

  • Delete everything, any time

    The owner can delete the workspace and all its data in Settings, which also ends bank access.

Where your data lives

Metreks runs in the United States on established infrastructure providers.

  • Application hosted on Vercel; database on Neon (AWS, US East)
  • Bank connections through Plaid; your bank password never reaches Metreks
  • Metreks AI runs on Anthropic's Claude under commercial terms; your data isn't used to train models
  • Backups expire within 7 days of deletion

Security questions

Can Metreks or its staff see my bank password?+
No. You sign in to your bank inside Plaid's window; Metreks only receives a read-only access token, which is encrypted before it's stored.
Who at Metreks can see my books?+
Access to customer data is limited to what's needed to support you. Your books are walled off from every other company at the database level.
How do I report a security issue?+
Email security@metreks.com. We read every report.
