Getting set up

Short answers to the questions founding brands ask first. Can't find yours? Email support@metreks.com.

Connecting Shopify

  1. In Metreks, open Business → Integrations.
  2. Type your store address (for example yourstore.myshopify.com) and choose Connect Shopify.
  3. Shopify shows what Metreks can read. Approve the install. Access is read-only.
  4. Back in Metreks, the import starts by itself. A large history can take a few minutes; you can leave the page.

Connecting your bank and cards

  1. Turn on 2-step verification first (below). It's required before connecting a bank.
  2. In Business → Integrations, choose Connect a bank or card.
  3. Pick your bank and sign in inside Plaid's secure window. Your bank password goes to your bank, never to Metreks.
  4. Choose the accounts to connect. Transactions arrive automatically from then on.

Uploading bank statements

For history or banks that don't connect, download a CSV statement from online banking and upload it in Transactions → Import. Metreks recognizes formats from Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Capital One, Amex, RBC, Mercury and more, and skips anything it has already imported.

Turning on 2-step verification

  1. Open Settings and enter your password under 2-step verification.
  2. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy).
  3. Enter the 6-digit code and keep the backup codes somewhere safe.

Changing how a transaction is booked

Open the transaction, choose the right category and save. Metreks re-books it and offers to apply the same choice to every similar transaction, past and future. Every change is recorded with who made it.

Deleting your data

The workspace owner can delete everything in Settings → Delete workspace. Metreks ends its access to your connected banks, deletes every record and deletes your sign-in. This can't be undone. You can also email privacy@metreks.com.
